birthday festivities started a bit early this year. also, it's snowing like CRAZY!

so we spent my birthday weekend at 14,110 feet, 17˚F (10˚F wind chill), with 50 mph winds.

we took the train up to the pikes peak summit today. these are the only shots we took outside, looking down on colorado springs, and nearly all the way to kansas. it wasn't so much the thin air, cold air or wind that made us look like this. it was mostly the sand embedding itself in our skin. regardless, it was awesome.

today was sort of about hats.

look out, 'roid week. here we come.

three great things.

2. my birthday is this weekend. and my sister's too!
3. 'roid week starts monday!!!!!

i watched the movie snowcake last night. it was pretty great, too. so i guess four great things, not three.

best thing i heard today,

i thought about trying to explain, but i've decided against it.

today is my grandma's 91st birthday. yesterday was jeff's 27th. the day before that was when i was really upset about my comics not being on the right pages and not knowing why. i hate april fools. almost as much as i hate zoo pictures.

quickbooks sucks.

one of my new jobs at work is to get our invoices into the computer for a christmas mailing they want to do. trouble is, someone stopped doing it in march. so, i'm discovering the many reasons why i'm not a secretary. also, some of my coworkers are apparently really bad at math (all sales are done by hand).

we have a new neighbor upstairs. he was stomping around until 5 this morning, though generally it hasn't been too bad so far.

we got tickets to see david sedaris on the 25th (my birthday present from the boy). very very excited about that :) i also strongly hinted to jeff how great it would be to have a picnic on my birthday...
